Initial International Flight Operations Training
In the FAA Inspector's Handbook 8900.1 Volume 4 Chapter 12 it states:
"Experience has clearly demonstrated that the presence of sophisticated navigational equipment on board an aircraft does not, by itself, ensure that a high level of performance will be achieved. It is essential that operators provide adequate training for the personnel operating or maintaining the equipment, and that operating drills and procedures are included in crew training."
The recommended minimum training curriculum for a pilot to be considered qualified for international operations is included in the Inspector's Handbook 8900.1. That curriculum is established in the modules of training listed below. Each individual module has a subject matter list to be included in the training and the time necessary to cover the material. Initial International Flight Operations Training requires 3 days (24 class hours) of in-person instruction for Air Training International LTD to issue a certificate of completion. An additional 4.5 hours of online training is included as a precursor to the course in order to meet all of the curriculum recommendations.
Recurrent International Flight Operations Training
The pilot recurrent training may be structured any way you would like it. Since the FAA has not mandated specific Recurrent-training requirements for part 91 operators, any combination of any modules may be selected for recurrent training as long as 8 hours of training is completed. There are 32 modules of training available in our course curriculum. The module list is made available to you and you decide what subjects you want to cover. If you are a Part 135 operation the training will be customized to satisfy the recurrent international procedures training specified in your FAA approved training manual. Customized training modules can also be developed for your flight operation upon request.
Our Recurrent training seminars satisfy training requirements for operators by reviewing any changes, updated information, or technological advances from the initial course. You can create your own course by combining any of the existing modules to create an 8 hour, 12 hour, or 16 hour course. We encourage you to tailor the training to your areas of interest and operational needs.
Please note: The scheduled Recurrent syllabus presented at our Training Center consists of a fixed curriculum. This includes but is not limited to Contingencies and Special Use Airspace including (MNPS, RNP 10, BRNAV, PRNAV, RVSM including Europe and China, and Performance Based Navigation).
